Qinghai- On the afternoon of May 27, Hao Peng, Governor of Qinghai Province, Xin Guobin, Secretary of the Party Committee of Haixi Prefecture, Yu Mingzhen, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Haixi Prefecture, Li Guozhong, Member of Standing Committee and Head of Organization Department of Party Committee of Haixi Prefecture, and Guan Ju visited Kingho Qinghai Group Iron & Steel Park for survey and investigation, accompanied by Ding Ping, General Manager of Qinghai Group, Deputy General Manager Meng Junmin, Deputy General Manager Xu Fuping and Assistant General Manager Quan Guojun.
    At park entrance, Hao had a detailed review of steel project general layout plan and steel & iron integration project (Phase I) project network schedule diagram. Mr. Meng Junmin had a brief report on the overall construction plan, construction scale, schedule, construction design, resource allocation and investment completion of steel & iron integration project. Then the visitors inspected integrated raw material yard, ironwork, steelwork, rolling mill, sintering plant, railway worker stations and other works under construction of 1,200,000-ton pellet plant and 2,000,000-ton steel & iron integration project.
    Golmud Steel & Iron Integration Project has accepted great importance and energetic support of all levels of governments since its construction commencement. Up to now, totally RMB 901 million has been invested into construction; and totally RMB 3.77 billion worth of contracts have been signed, including RMB 1.26 billion of equipment purchase contract and RMB 2.51 billion of construction engineering contracts. Moreover, totally RMB 349 million has been invested into pellet plant, cumulatively producing 160,000 tons of pellets.
